The home team is in fine shapok, but will be handicapped by the absence of Dutch Beutel, outstanding guard of the past two seasonn. The game is schedules to be played at Madaryville but due to thior lack of gym facilities it will probably be played in the Klokidike gym. A Sector League game between Monon and Waveland is also scheduled to be played at Klondike tolf,oruow afternonn. GOLDEN GLOVE ELIT:IITION GETS UNDER -TAY The Annual Golden Glove Tournament will bet under way in Lafayette Tuesday night. Company 15b7 has about twelve men who show promise of putt- ing up a good scrap for a position on the Lafayette team. Phisival eAaminations will be held Munday and Tues;:afternoon. JAT"'ARY 21, 1939 ADTTSTRhTION ASKS FOR FEIT-TANENT CCC An article in the Lafayette Courier Jornal dated Janu.lry 19 stated that the Administration, through Dr. Fechner had ask Conress to hake the CCC a permanant organization. Congress two yours ago refused to comply with a similar request by President Roosevelt. In a let4i ter Dr. Fechner declared that "it is submitted that the past record of the CCC � � � � makes it desirable to continue the corps as a T.ermanent activity of the Federal Government. Mr. Emick, Corp Area Educat- ional Adviser and Mr. Maloney, Corp Are`.. Liaison Officer are expected to be here along with Mr. Correll,District Adviser. The Conference will coilic. verse at nine o'clock and Adjourn tit three in the afternoon. The speakers for the days session will be Captain Utke, Sector Commander, Jr. Linebarger, State Head of ':PA Education, Professor Greenlee, Purd- Univorsity, Mr. Maloney, rr. Correll and Yr. Fmick. All Educational Advisers,Com1Dany Co.imanders and Camp Superintenden-cd-s of the Lebanon Sector have been invited to attend the conference. Pr. Emick, Mr. Maloney and Ir. Correll are makin; a tour of he State, holding Sector Conferences at Brockville, Prince- ton, Lafayette ant Ft. Vrane. All Camps in the State will be inspected between the Conferences.
